i read your answer on how to get rid of fleas . But what i want to know is do lime work on sand fleas?
I live in sarasota,fl and i have two dogs and my girl is getting ready to have puppies.I need safe chemicals to get rid of the sand fleas,they are on the dogs too.
first thing to know is you don’t have sand fleas, just regular ole cat fleas on your dogs.Sand fleas is a generic name for biting member of the fly family sometimes found on the coastal / beach area and also a crustacean you can find digging around at the surf. Any labeled product to treat your animals and yard for fleas will work. If you are having to treat bare sandy soil instead of grass, no matter what you use will look as if it is not working at all..the sand particles are constantly turning over so the treated side will soon be upside down. Professionally I always suggest the customer use Frontline or Advantage on the pets, so check with your vet to see if they are fine for the pregnant pup.
