I want to make a secret compartment with an empty aerosol deodorant can and I emptied it until I heard no air sounds is it safe to use a can opener on?

Personally I’m kind of sketchy on it. Although the gas a released all the contents of the can, there may still be some left over inside the can…which could cause a small gas explosion if the can if punctured. A heads up though, I don’t mean like a big explosion with fire, just all the gas coming out the second you puncture it, causing the can to fly in some direction or so
