How to make a secret place to hide items?

I need some good ideas of places too hide my valubals Without spending all my money on a safe.

Depends on the size of your valuables. If rings and other jewelry, there is one solution my grandfather did. They had a four poster bed with thick posts. The posts had those round knobs on the top, but they were add ons. He cut a couple off at the head of the bed, then took a brace and bit and bored as large holes as he could in the posts. Then he put money, rings, etc., inside small cloth drawstring sacks and deposited them inside the holes. After that, he just put a bit of Elmer’s glue on the intersection of the knob and the post and let it set. When he needed access, he tapped off the knob, got what he wanted and reglued.
Now, most people don’t have four poster beds and braces and bits.
So, would suggest attic access area if you have one and don’t need to get to the valuables too often. I would attach a small metal lockbox to a rafter, then cover with some insulation or other junky looking stuff (the boards one uses to navigate the rafters while up there make good covers).
Thieves need time and access. The frozen food thing is good, too, but I think many are onto it now if they have the time to haul it off. The tampon idea is the same. I think they are onto it now and the contents spill easily when rifled through.

Stay Safe Travel Tips For Women Traveling Solo

A trip of safe travel is of utmost importance when traveling. When you are traveling solo you have lots of freedom but you are exposed to untrustworthy individuals that could deter you from a safe travel experience.  By following a few tips you can help ensure that you will have a trip of safe travel.

Safe Travel Tip for Women Traveling Solo #1

Avoid exchanging large sums of money in public places.  It’s actually better to use less cash and more credit cards to help make sure you have a trip of safe travel.

Safe Travel Tip for Women Traveling Solo #2

Before getting into a taxi, make sure you note its license plate number.  After you are inside make a call (or pretend to be calling) to a friend giving them the taxi license plate number and let them know you are on your way to meeting with them.  Make sure the taxi driver hears this conversation.

Safe Travel Tip for Women Traveling Solo #3

Always have a phone with you when traveling solo.  You want to be able to call for help at any given moment if it is needed.  “Check in” with a friend at home frequently to let them know you are having a safe travel experience and to let them know what you are doing and where you are.

Safe Travel Tip for Women Traveling Solo #4

Never open your hotel room door to a stranger or allow a stranger in your room.  If you get a knock on the door and the person says they are maintenance or any other type of hotel staff, call the front desk to verify that the person was indeed sent to your room.  Don’t take the stairs in a hotel.

Safe Travel Tip for Women Traveling Solo #5

Hide valuables in your feminine items such as your bra.  The ideal kind of bra for hiding money is the kind that has removable pads.  Another feminine hiding spot is a partially full tampon box.  It’s unlikely that someone will want to look inside that.

Safe Travel Tip for Women Traveling Solo #6

Don’t “appear” to be a single person traveling solo.  Wear a gold band on your left hand.  Put a jacket on an empty seat beside you to give the appearance you have a companion with you.  This will help ensure a trip of safe travel.

Safe Travel Tip for Women Traveling Solo #7

Do not ever hesitate to call for a security guard or the police if you feel your security or safety is being threatened.  It is so much better to report a false alarm than to find yourself in a situation that you regret not having made that call.

By being aware of your surroundings and those around you and following some simple safety tips, you can help ensure your own safety when traveling solo and enjoy a pleasant and safe travel.
