Where would be the best place to hide/store something?

READ THIS BEFORE YOU ANSWER:

I want to hide a selection small-ish items in a secret place where they will not be found or touched/moved by anybody for many many years (ie 50years).
It needs to be a safe and secure place where the items cannot be stumbled upon. I do not have a house or apartment, I am in my 20s and only rent so I cannot place aything there is case one day I am evicted or the owners want the place back etc…

Where can I secretly stash my goodies for safe keeping???

id say screw the home owner and go to homedepot/lowes/hardware store
Buy yourself a a blue single gang electric box. One thats NOT for new construction.
and a cable wall plate

hide your stash in the electric box
cover it with the cable face plate… it just lookes like a tv cable would attach to it…
you will have to cut some of the sheetrock on the wall, just do it behind your bed. If you do moveout they wont know what it is.. they will prbably think its always been there if you do it neat.

Cable plate- http://www.homedepot.com/Electrical-Wall-Plates/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ1xr5Zbm8m/R-100672715/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053

Box- http://www.lowes.com/pd_37117-223-B120R_0_?productId=1085017&Ntt=gang box&Ntk=i_products&pl=1&currentURL=/pl__0__s?newSearch=true$Ntt=gang box

flip the box so the open end is facing the wall, trace around the outside with pencil. Cut sheetrock on your pencil lines with steak knife. Slide box in ( open side facing you) the 2 screws in the corners will turn flaps which dig into the sheetrock keeping it in place. put in your stash… cover with wall plate!

badass!

nevermind, i thought you wanted it in the house, but able to be moved if you had to leave…
ohwell, ill post this incase anyone else needs a sweet hiding spot!

The PVC was a good idea if you wanna bury something.

How to Make: Secret Stash Safe

Phoenix Security – Tips For Hiding Cash Around The Home

Although it is best to store money in the bank, sometimes homeowners like to hide some cash at home in case of an unforeseen situation. Hideing cash in the home is always risky. There is always a chance for a burglar to break your house, find your cash, and get away with a lot of your emergency money. Because of this, Phoenix security officials always suggest storing money in the bank. However, they know that in spite of the risk associated with storing money in the home, that many homeowners will still do it because they do not want to be left with nothing in the event of a disaster or emergency situation.

The first thing that Phoenix security authorities suggest for homeowners who hide money in the home is to invest in a home security system. Security systems are great crime deterrents and they will greatly reduce that chance that a burglar would even step foot in your home. And if a burglar does break into your home, when the alarm goes off it will scare the burglar away or at least significantly reduce the amount of time they spend in your home. This gives them much less time to find your cash and valuables.

In addition to this, Phoenix security experts suggest using secretive but safe places to stash your hard-earned money. There are many places to hide money in your house. One good place to hide cash is in one of your child’s stuffed toys. Burglars do not typically rummage through a child’s room, since they are often in a jumbled state most of the time. You can place your cash or valuables in the foam insides of something like a teddy bear, or any other stuffed toy, then sew it back up skillfully.

Another great option is to keep money in professionally installed security safes. This includes wall and floor safes, or securiity safes that can be bolted to the ground. It is best to never use safes that can simply be carried away and dismantled later.

You can also choose from a number of diversion safes. You can hide your money or important documents in diversion safes that resemble everyday items that one would find around a home. However, it is important to make sure that these types of safes are placed in a realistic fashion.

Another way to safely hide your cash from a burglar is to place it in old or broken media equipment such as televisions, music systems, and so on. Burglars are unlikely to carry away these bulky items, especially if they are broken or old, because they could get very little money for them.

If you want to outwit a burglar, you have to think a bit like a burglar. Phoenix security authorities state that you must never store cash in places that burglars look first–dresser drawers, desks, purses, and so on. If you use a little creativity, you are sure to find perfect places to store cash where burglars would never think to look.

About the Author

Again, Phoenix security authorities stress the importance of using a home security system if you hide cash in the home. Phoenix security company executives state that statistics clearly show the power of alarm systems when it comes to deterring crime. They are one of the best ways to protect your cash and valuables because they ward away criminals in the first place.
