Which Gun Cabinet to Get?
I can’t really afford a gun safe, but this is definetley better than nothing. Does anyone have experience with these cabinets?

I would really like to have a combination lock, but that’s not my budget, unless i find one on craigslist. If anyone has experience with either one of these cabinets that would be great, or if someone has a different cabinet that they would like to recommend that would also be great.
I have a sentry safe, that holds 8 (or so it says). The problem is that the safe is not well made to accommodate rifles and shotguns with accessories on them. A rifle with a scope eliminates space and bulky shotguns do too. Throw in a bi-pod and you really have a crowded mess. There is also no light and not enough space to allow for light to get in, so you can see what is on the top shelf, when you are standing in front of it, trying to pick things out. The rifle/shotgun rack goes from one ede near the door around the back and up to the the hinged side of the door. There are u-shaped holders that hold the firearms in place. It is also limited in the length of rifles and shotguns it can hold, as two of the firearms we have fit in 52″ carrying bags, but only in one spot each within the safe.
In a pinch, the Sentry will work well. But as you accumulate more fireamrs, it won’t take long to outgrow it. I have gotten by, by not having to store 2 of my firearms in the safe and had not purchased anything for over a year. Then my wife picked me up a new rifle for Christmas and we have since picked up three more firearms, with another on the way this week or next.
But I am in the market for a new safe and may just spend the money on getting something a bit bigger, with a lot more room. It seems like the Stack-on is not that much better.
