How do you open a Sentry Fireproof Lock Model A3821 if it doesn’t open because of dead batteries?

Does anyone know how to open this safe without damaging it? I have the key and combo, but the battery is dead.

Here’s the link to the Owner’s Manual for the safe. See the bottom right of page 3 for installation of new batteries. Batteries are installed outside of the safe…it doesn’t need to be open to change the batteries.
