Should I use “Travel Sentry” TSA approved locks on my baggage?

I will be traveling to the US soon, I was wondering whether I should use travel sentry locks approved by TSA? Are they safe? I mean, TSA officers may open our bags for inspection, but what if someone else gets access to the tools they use?

Has anyone experienced trouble with these locks? Please let me know ASAP!

Thanks in advance!

Nobody other than TSA officers can get access to those tools. I’ve never had any problems with those particular locks, so in my personal experience, I’d say it wouldn’t be a problem.

The bottom line, though is that if the item is fragile or expensive and it’s not on TSA’s prohibited items list for your carry-on, keep it with you in your carry-on, if possible. If not, check it and don’t worry too much about it.
