what is safer for kids handgun or shotgun?
I know that nothing is 100% safe. I know that kids will find anything. BUT i think shotgun are safer to have because they bigger and harder to get self shot. what do you think? what is saver to keep around the house with kids?
It is a little harder to shoot yourself in the head with a shotgun, but both can be equally deadly.
That being said, if you haft to have guns in the house (and I never recommend having guns in a house with kids) then follow established safety procedures, especially when i comes to segregating the weapon and the ammo. “LOCK UP THE AMMO” “USE TRIGGER LOCKS”
I sincerely believe that if a child in the house can get hold of a weapon and ma mange to discharge it (even if no one gets hurt), the parent should be charged criminally with endangering a child and and attempted negligent homicide. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR A CHILD TO GET HOLD OF A WEAPON UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. IF THAT HAPPEND, THEN THE PARENTS ARE MORONS AND SHOULD NOT EVEN HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF KIDS.
