Security issues carrying large amounts of cash and keeping cash at home?
I often need to carry large amounts of cash on me, keep it in my car, and also keep a lot of money at home. What do other people do in this situation (other than money belts). Is it best to split up the cash into smaller amounts in different spots, put it in a heavy safe (difficult in an apartment) or hide it in a good hiding spot and if so what do you do about the threat of fire? Cashier’s checks, safety deposit boxes, and in my bank account are not viable options. If anyone wonders, I am NOT a drug dealer or any other type of criminal, LOL.

You should watch “It Takes A Thief” on Discovery channel. The “burglars” always find the hidden cash, so there are no good hiding places. Get a fire proof file cabinet with a lock that’s difficult to pick, like a combination lock. It must be big enough that a burglar can’t just run out of your apartment with it.
