Financial Plan for Natural Disaster
A safe home as they grow
Let me share my experiences with a safe home. When I married for over twenty years I did not thinking about things like safes at home, get important documents and valuables, or anything even closely related. I care only distractions basic life skills such as working, eating, sleeping, and maybe catch a movie occasionally. As I got older things started to change. Before I knew I got to the point where I felt the need to ensure a few things.
When I think about it, these early feelings about safety probably began when she started having children. He had an innate sense of what to do to protect my children valuable, so it was not a big leap for me to start feeling protective other things in my life they value. The first thing he could probably pass as a safe at home was a small box lock. It was metal and had a lock simple. Do not have much, it was a fire or water proof, but I can put some things inside that wanted to protect against simple theft. I guess I never realized a thief could go with him. Silly me.
In short, my idea of what a safe home began to change. I found a safe Sentry that was small enough to be portable, however, had some of the basic protections that really needed. Could withstand the devastating effects a fire long enough for the average fire department response, about 30 minutes. He had a very secure feeling of blockage, and that was enough great to save some extra money, my passport and some other important documents and valuables.
Having a small house sure was great, and for many reasons. However, I soon learned was that it was not adequate enough for some of the other valuables that I really wanted to protect. My main concern was being able to safely store my gun. I needed a safe place to deposit insurance in which the children could not into danger, but also needed something that was very easy to access in times of need. What I found was a bio-insurance that was in tune with my own hand. I would recommend one of these to anyone with a gun. All you do to open the safe is the insertion of the hand on the pad that reads your unique bio-Metrix. Through the magic of modern technology, the safe is recognized as the owner and allow access.
Before long children and had come along and valuables that the number had purchased and wanted to make sure he had begun to accumulate. We decided that a larger home safe would be the end. We found that we installed in a cabinet with screws to the ground from inside the safe. This was quite safe, and gave us a place to store objects value not only important, but larger items as well.
A safe home can give a lot of peace of mind, if it is correct. As your need protection grows, the size of safe you need to grow as well.
