Help:How do i get my skink from detroit to. L.A. Safe? Moving june 6th?
First off i am very stressed about this and worried about my blue tongued skink. Initially i was going to travel by car from detroit to L.A. but plans fell through and i will need to fly. I am so worried about how to get my skink safe and sound to my new home at the last minute. I know that planes dont allow reptiles as carry on and i am concerned about UPS or FED Ex. Anybody got ideas? I even thought about just getting a two way ticket, and since he is still small, hiding him in my shirt, and transferring him to a more comfortable temp carrier in my pack once i pass security. Not! As u can see i am desperate, lol.
So what should i do, any advice? Any airlines or shippers reccommended?

Have you talked to your airline about it…weather or not the animals are alowed on boared is up to each individual airline, so call and ask about it…sometimes they wont let them onboard but will transport them below, in a pet area, you just have to have the right kind of cage and detailed instructions on how to care for them…
Calling is the first thing to try….
If your airline wont take them, find out if another airline is going to the same place later in the day an see if they will ship it for you, they will charge you for it, not sure how much…
you can also go through UPS and other postal sevices, you just have to set up the shipping package the right way, they leave all that on you, thier job is to take it from point a to point b without damaging it…
