Hello everyone! What would be a good home based small business idea? I have an associates degree in gen. edu. exactly because I can’t seem to make up my mind about what I want to do. What I do know, is that I would love to own a small business and start from home to play it safe. I honestly am interested in everything, so it’s hard for me to decide on 1 single thing. I need something that’s practical, that’ll bring in some profit, and something that might be succesful. Pls give ideas on what I can do to start off. I really appreciate the help. I have a spare room, to set up everything I would need for the business. I’ve been a succesful seller on ebay but decided it’s time to try something different. Please help!

Its always good to try to start a home based business. Some work out, others don;t, but as long as the investment is small, you learn alot without losing alot.
Since you have educational credentials why not start a home-based TUTORING BUSINESS…..find out how others are doing this and model your start-up biz after theirs. Look for ads in the paper and online for tutoring services and make inquiries.
The hourly rate you can charge will be substantially more than most younger people make as employees and you’ll find out whether it suits you. Offer to do your first couple students for free or reduced fees, to get referrals and testimonials.
In general, its usually better to start businesses that interest you, not just because you think they’re lucrative. Follow your heart, not the money.
