1000 dead in Mexican drug cartel violence in less than two months. Is Mexico, the new Lebanon?
Last year, 2008, over 5700 people were killed in drug cartel related violence. Since January 1st, 2009, over 1000 people have been killed. An expert recently stated, that is the violence continues, and the U.S. does not intercede somehow to help quell the violence, which has already jumped the border into the U.S. with cartel violence in Texas, Georgia and even in Chicago, he stated that Mexico will become the new Lebanon… So real nice to have a country on the verge of collapse and anarchy only a couple hours drive from where I live in Southern Cal. Hell, downtown Baghdad is safer… Opinions?
I’d say it’s starting to look that way and nobody is doing anything about it.The police aren’t doing anything about it,because they’re too scared and the military isn’t much help either.Personally,I predict that the U.S.will eventually get involved somehow.
