What type of cycling bacteria do they have at petsmart?
I’m going to get a betta fish in his own Eclipse System 6. I read up on things like Tetra Safestart and Marineland Bio-spira. I haven’t found either at petsmart. I did find another brand at petsmart, but I forgot its name.
there are several out there….old filter media is still the best though…but if you do use old filter media keep it in the old tank water and keep it dark as the bactria are light sensitive……if you decide to use one from the store it only helps a little and seeds the tank fast the the air will……but it is not an instant cycle…by any means…….and it is best to put the bio spira or what no in after the lights are out and put it in to the filter it self
