Why don’t they build homes underground in Kansas?
There are a ton of tornados in Kansas. So why don’t they build homes underground there? It would not only make them safe in a tornado, but it is also very energy efficient.
They used to back in the pioneer days. Sod houses were smart! Yeah I live in Kansas, we have a few underground or partially underground (like on the side of a hill) houses but there should really be more. Most people think a basement or cellar is good enough, I guess.
