What is the quickest & safest way to get from LaGurardia Airport to Yankees Stadium?

If you’re staying at a hotel in Manhattan, you can take a cab [expensive] or a shared-ride van [SuperShuttle, e.g.] to your hotel and then take the 4/5/6 train to the Yankee Stadium stop – the express will be faster. On game days the train will be filled with other fans and the YS stop will be quite safe.
Even if you’re not staying at a hotel, the best way is to get to midtown Manhattan and then take the subway. There used to be Carey buses that went to Midtown; I think they’re called something else now. Go to the LAG website, look for “ground transportation” and see what’s available. Coordinate that with the MTA website info on the 4/5/6 trains and you’ll be set.
It may take well over an hour to do this, depending on time of day and traffic.
