Is the United Nations just a front for western imperialism?
Seven years later yet another invasion. The hated George Bush has been replaced with peace activist Barrack Obama, the lying Tony Blair has been replaced by the truth telling Cameron and Monsieur Sarkosy another little strutting French man imagines himself in the role of a latter day Napoleon. All of these knights in shining armour proclaim their love for the Libyan people and their concern about their welfare. Oil ? What oil? Nah!! We are humanitarians. We send in our death machines not to kill people from the safe height of five miles up in the sky we kill people to defend their liberty their equality their fraternity. etc. Anyway, its not our fault. We have a UN mandate for our actions. Blame the UN therefore. Agree disagree ?
Those Libyians to whom I have spoken do not agree that Gaddiffy is a murderous dictator. In fact his record shows that he is anything but such a dictator and his interests are primarily with the welfare of the Libyan people.

But in this case, no.
I do not agree with the violence that the government of Libya has inflicted upon its own people. I do not like the violence that we in the west are inflicting on Libya. But that which Gaddaf is inflicting upon the people of Libya is far worse.
