how to properly shoot SIG 229 in .357?

Aside from taking the basic hand gun class and going to the ranges a few times I still don’t feel comfortable/confident with gun in hand. I have 2 clips with Winchester JHP’s. This is the first hand gun i’ve owned and wanted to know what is the best technique/stance to use or ways to get me prepared if i ever have to use it in a self defense situation (increase in home burglaries in my area). Any websites, diagrams, etc, would be helpful as well. Also, any affordable hand gun safe out there and is there any exception to hiding gun/magazine without a safe or? And, how many clips should i have (high capacity are illegal in my state) any thoughts/experiences would be great.

as for your stance best way would be to keep your feet shoulder width apart and have both hands on the pistol when firing. I would go to youtube and just type in pistol shooting stance that should bring something up. Stack on offers some decent price safes that have numeric codes instead of the old lock and key. I am currently using an old kmart one that uses the key but since its just me and my wife i dont bother to lock it just keep it under the bed. I keep all 3 clips that came with my gun loaded i dont see a problem with that and it wont wear out the spring in the clip its the constant loading and unloading a clip causing the spring to get weak.
