Worlds 50 Safest Banks 2010

Senate Session 2010-04-14 (10:45:06-11:55:49)
Spanish property is still valuable for those who can buy
Premier Zapatero called for "the tenacity, hard work and calm." to get Spain back on its feet, as he assured his audience of lawmakers – and the rest of the known world – "the solvency and soundness of our country is evident."
I expected nothing less than a faithful and motivated leader of Spain, which together with its European partners, is witnessing the worst economic crisis for many years, many – the unfortunate fire on several fronts. I just wish that even the most prudent policy are willing to admit that the healing current ills is almost entirely beyond their control or that of any national or international.
This is an operation of heart and mind. It would be too easy – in the fields of a Glee Club – to sing that "things can only get better" – could hardly be worse, but what we got. I'm not advocating any form of ill mirth, but it is necessary to start celebrating the positive aspects that may arise. Similarly, I am not an apologist for corruption and the scandal that has dogged Costas of Spain, but I am firmly of the opinion that the merchants of the tragedy and sadness, engaged the collective flagellation, misery, snow, cold (delete as appropriate) should be stopped in their tracks with a company of "Enough!"
I'm not prone to accept the conspiracy theories, but I'm very interested in the power of a collective consciousness to overcome problems similar to the "Blitz Spirit". To those of us who live in the province of Malaga is time to "accentuate the positive."
This year has seen the Piers show Morgan Marbella TV which was like sending vibrations very positive about this glorious region than expatriates so many call home. I'm not sure was intended that the program presented as a revelation, but was wandering around the daily lives of some wealthy with all the eccentricities and demands that are broadly satisfied with life under the Spanish sun.
Marbella is obvious that if you go looking for trouble in Brixton and Toxteth, St Pauls to Wythenshawe is likely to find, but assumed that his psyche has rung bells by a fascination with the dark underworld of crime. You know you do not have to live the fear of being safe – may be an ambition in its own right.
So I hear you sigh with impatience – to paraphrase the great Ian Dury – What are reasons to be cheerful:
1. Apart from a few local newspapers in Marbella, I can not remember seeing any UK national media – Many of whom have spent the last five years and hit Marbella – transcendental announcing the news, after many years in the misery of limbo, the new Marbella Plan (Plan) has been finally approved by the Cotua, the Territorial Planning Commission Andaluca by the regional government in Seville on Friday, January 29 2010.
Ángeles Muñoz, a doctor once and now the mayor of Marbella, has ministered with the charm, honesty and tact to the needs of Marbella since his election a couple of years ago. A tireless fighter for those potentially affected by the search for your property is outside the legalization of dubious properties above license.
Around 18,000 houses have been "authenticated", which mops up all but about 500 properties that fall outside the new plan – the courts are busy, while the owners of these properties – mostly purchased in good faith – trying to protect their interests, already have the support of Mrs. Muñoz.
Safety and reliability, the mother and the father of trust must restore as far restored been and perhaps we can now say more than a little justification Marbella now really is the safest place in Spain to buy.
2. Reuters announced yesterday (10 February 2010) Bank of Spain has advised its member banks to devalue the real estate assets currently languishing on their books by 20%. This is great news for Spain.
While many commentators believe that Spanish property can be up to 50% more value, this is a positive step by a national to address its liquidity requirements eternally frustrating that acted as a clear disincentive for banks to meet their "default", or bad debts. He said many banks in the second, BBVA, have surprised the market by establishing a benefit higher than expected accounting for uncollectible accounts.
It is understood that banks in Spain may retain property assets exceeding 100 million dollars have been taken as the developers who borrowed to finance its construction does not keep your payments.
This will have a positive impact on the price a bank owned property can be expected to achieve.
3. The sterling exchange rate has improved and is now almost 15% away from parity – now there's some progress! It may be short-lived, but it's a damn site better than it was.
For many buying property in Spain has proved outstanding in frustration exhausted, often fully justified and their causes are always illegal or at least forgiven. The housing market has been affected by the scam and the "system" is very strange – I can assure you that does not improve with familiarity. But …. a huge, but … I've been here for a while and continue to believe that my family and I are still able to enjoy a vibrant and exciting life in Spain offering a totally viable in the UK.
Yes, when it rains – it pours but usually gray gives way to sun, even in February! Do not forget that life is not just about the time.
Coming to Spain is not the answer, if you already suffer from debilitating negativity so prevalent in the UK. It is not a universal panacea for "all that ails you," but if you are looking for a new direction where you can allow the commitment and flexibility to be present, then think of Spain.
Standing, though often not a great choice, but if the excitement of the new and discover the candle lights and then do it. You do not will replace the UK with Spain – and vice versa – but if you have the company to get first place, you know.
Do you know what – download – even you can try before you buy! You do not have to buy a property here – happily rent short or long term – but I warn you only fall in love with this place! The sun, snow, beaches, golf, mountain, diet, culture and diversity, make a complex and beautiful country that is here to enjoy on your terms.
Going to get a cheap flight to Malaga – there are plenty – and explore
